Baeza is a small town about two hours to the East of Quito passed through by most people traveling by land to the Amazon region.
Located at the fork in the road that goes to Tena, Baeza features the Napo Province to the south, and Lago Agrio and the Sucumbios Province to the north. It is blessed with the spectacular landscapes of the Quijos River Valley (where there is world class kayaking and rafting). Baeza can be used as a base to explore the surrounding bird-rich cloud forests, Ecuador's highest waterfall- San Rafael Falls, Volcan Reventador and Sumaco National Park.
