Kem Pery are another provider of tours in Huaorani territory, offering both eight and 15 day tours in this region. Both tours head down the Tiguino river in motorized canoes to Bameno, a Huaorani village. The adventures include learning about medicinal plants, construction, weapon-making and trying your hand at making traditional handicrafts such as necklaces and crowns. There is an option to join the people on a traditional hunt, go fishing, or maybe play a game of football against them. The 15 day trip also includes a four day expedition with Huaorani guides into the rainforest, building canoes from balsawood and camping in the forest. The tours only leave on certain days of the week, so check in advance. There is a minimum of two people required to run the tour, which costs $720.
