Cathedral - Historical Building Macas - Ecuador
This massive modern church gives its visitors a nice view of the city. The building also features twelve elaborate stained glass windows which depict the store of the Virgen PurÃsima de Macas. The cathedral, which was completed in 1992, was constructed to celebrate the 400 year anniversary of this Virgen. At the back of the church one can see the Pio Upano valley, and a number of swallows swooping by.
