If you board a bus headed towards Tena from Misuahallí and ask the driver to drop you off at the Camino de las Cascadas (approximately 15 minutes outside of Misuahallí and 25¢ fare depending on the mood of the driver) you'll find yourself on your way to see a pretty waterfall, nice picnic areas and a little swimming hole. Its a 40-minute hike to the actual falls. Its very slick and muddy at spots so wear good shoes and you may also find yourself wading through the river. The trail can sometimes be hard to pinpoint and you don't want to find yourself alone and lost in the jungle, so bring a friend.
