EkoKafe Bar and Restaurante is a delicious restaurant that serves up vegetarian and meat dishes in addition to typical Ecuadorian fare. Prices are good (slightly more expensive) with breakfast at approximately $2.00, main dishes at around $4.00 and an extensive coffee menu (extensive by Ecuadorian terms). Beers cost $1.25, cocktails average $2.50 to $4.00 and wine is $3 per glass or $15 per bottle. Feel free to browse the local native jewelry for sale, pick a movie to watch or a book to read, or simply be entertained by the playful monkeys out front that will try anything to slip into the restaurant for a snack. The owners also have a butterfly farm outside of town: ask them if you want to set up a visit. Visit to butterfly farm: $2.50/person.
