Isla Parque Amazónico

Isla Parque Amazónico was established in 1996 as part of a local an effort to conserve the natural splendor of the Amazon's plants and animals. Since the park was established, over 135 species of trees, plants and flowers have been identified on the island. The plant life is intermixed with gardens and waterfalls. There are also many different kinds of birds, monkeys, butterflies, insects, turtles and animals that you would in all likelihood never seen before. An day trip to the island is a chance to learn about the diverse life of the jungle and experience the Amazon's wonders firsthand.

Between the Tena and Pano Rivers (just west of the footbridge)

Price Description: Admission for foreigners is $2.00 and for nationals is $1.00.

Swim in the Tena river. Observe birds from our tower, there are 90 species approximately that you can see, depending on the hour and the day.
