Even though Hostal Limoncocha is somewhat removed from the footbridge and 'happenin end of town' its hard to beat the views.  No other hostel in Tena overlooks the town and the surrounding jungle.   Its very relaxing to watch the sunset from a hammock on the patio and fall asleep to all the jungle sounds. 

The rooms are cleaned daily and are spacious and comfortable. Ceiling fans allow for comfortable air circulation and the beds are nice to sleep on.  (That is if you can pull yourself out of the hammocks out front!) There are 30 rooms total made up of singles, doubles and matrimonials.  Some have shared bathrooms for $5.00 per person, and the singles/doubles/matrimonials with private bathrooms are $7.00/$6.00/$6.00 respectively. The rooms have cable TV and hot showers (although its more of a lukewarm temperature that doesn't change). 

Breakfast is served for $2.00 and consists of bread, jams and butter, juice, cafe or tea and scrambled or fried eggs. 

There is a tour agency on-site offering one to multi-day tours for rafting, motor canoeing, museums, jungle expeditions and more.  Depending on the river and the level of the river, prices range from $40 - $50 per day. The agency is certified.
