Hotel Caribe's location is on the southern end of town a few blocks from the bus terminal. It is located near industrial areas on the main street and is far from the footbridge, restaurants and tour companies. The traffic outside can make it difficult to sleep. 

There are 33 rooms total made up of doubles, triples and matrimoniales.  All have a private bathroom with hot water and cable TV.  There is also air conditioning.  The rooms are pieced together with mis-matched furniture and comforters/linens. They do have all the basic comforts and are clean.

The restaurant on-site serves breakfast for $1.50, almuerzo for $1.75 and dinner for $1.75.  Credit cards are not accepted.  Out back, there is a bar and covered area where folkloric dances are often held.
