This lovely café, located a little off the strip, specializes in helado (ice cream). Sharply decorated with simple modern fixtures, Oasis is arguably the hippest place in town. Their delicious ice cream comes in a variety of yummy flavors, and a simple cone only costs 50 cents.  If you're looking for a great place to spend a few hours relaxing with dessert and a coffee, or to catch up on some reading, you've found the spot.  The café also has a food menu, with hearty breakfasts, burgers and plato fuertes like filet mignon and camarones (shrimp) a la plancha.  However, make sure to save room for the ice cream, as it's hands-down the tastiest in all of Ambato.
