High End Restaurants in Ambato

El Centro is the place with the greatest concentration of restaurants in Ambato, particularly Chicken Restaraunts. Everywhere you look you will see a different restaurant roasting up chickens. They all seem to be the same, although some appear to be cleaner than others, so are probably a better option.

In addition to chicken, you can find Ecuadorian food, pizza and even Shawarmas in Ambato. If you are only in town for a short while, wander downtown for a gelato. There are a few shops that sell it, and they are all delicious and cheap, about 50 cents for a cone.

If you happen to be in Ambato over night, there are a couple of bars that have a bit of a nightlife that you could check out. El Coyote is a discoteca that is located on Bolívar and Guayaquil. Cerveceria Bufalo, located on Olmedo and Mera, is another option for either drinking or dancing.
