While not quite as scary as a real bungee jump, puenting, which is like bungee jumping but with fewer bounces, is just scary enough to get your heart beating and your legs wobbly. An expert will strap you in and give you the choice of whether you want to jump off the bridge facing forwards, or let yourself fall backwards. Falling backwards is not nearly as scary as going forward. You are harnessed to a rope, so you swing under the bridge instead of bouncing back up, which is not as jarring as bungee jumping. While no accidents have been reported, keep in mind you are jumping off a bridge and there is always an element of risk involved.
