While not quite as scary as a real bungee jump, puenting (swing jumping), which is similar to bungee jumping but with fewer bounces, is just scary enough to get your heart beating and your legs wobbly. An expert will strap you in and give you the choice of whether you want to jump off the bridge facing forwards or let yourself fall backwards. Falling backwards is not nearly as scary as going forward. You are harnessed to a rope, so you will swing under the bridge instead of bouncing back up, which is not as jarring as bungee jumping. Puenting is typically done off of one of three bridges in the area, ranging from 25-100 meters (82-328 ft) high; falls are typically between 15 and 35 meters (49-114 ft). Prices depend on the height of the bridge, usually costing between $10-20 per jump. While no accidents have been reported, keep in mind you are jumping off a bridge and there is always an element of risk involved.
