Baños is a popular tourist destination for both Ecuadorians and foreigners alike, so you shouldn't be surprised to find that the town has a great number of places to eat. Baños’ main street is lined with restaurants that provide a wide range of options, including many fast food joints (serving pizza, chicken, burgers and fries), bars and grills, ice cream parlors, and the central market where you can get a taste of cuy (guinea pig).
If you venture just one block away from the main street, you will find a great number of small Ecuadorian restaurants that offer typical almuerzos (set lunches) of soup, rice and chicken and a glass of juice for between $1.50- $2.00. Baños also boasts a couple of high quality restaurants, including Casa Hood and the Swiss Bistro, that are both great places to go if you want to treat yourself to more international cuisine.
