V!VA User‘s Description

Baños is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Ecuadorian Sierra. Its full name, Baños de Agua Santa (literally, "baths of the holy waters") reflects the natural hot springs running off neighboring Volcán Tungurahua (5,023 m, 16,480 ft). The town is surrounded by a curtain of bright green mountains, rich in waterfalls, flora and fauna.

Casa Real Hotel

Rating: 0%

Baños is a wonderful place to visit because it is placed in a strategic point to visit the Andes and the Amazon jungle. It has amazing views, waterfalls and numerous outdoors and adventure activities to enjoy. A recommended place to stay and relax in Baños is The Casa Real Hotel which is a cozy place that has comfortable rooms, good prices, many extra services like the beautiful mini -spa, and the customer service is very nice and helpful. You have to visit Baños and Casa Real Hotel which is a memorable experience.

Wonderful time in Banos

Rating: 100%

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the Hostal Posada del Arte in Banos. What a tranquil location and yet only a short one-minute stroll to the public thermal baths. The owner and staff were attentive and very helpful. Banos itself is the perfect size for an Andean retreat. Small enough to feel comfortable and safe, yet big enough to feel that we still had more to discover after a week. Many great places to eat, including the Posada del Arte, and a good base to explore the Andean highlands, rivers, volcanes and nearby jungle. Great retreat from a hot summer in South Carolina. We will be back.

You must go there!!

Rating: 100%

It's such a lovely and peaceful place. Whatever you want - you can get it there. Peace & tranquility, party & bars, sports & action or relaxation. There are so many nice restaurants and cafés, where you can stay for a couple of days and get ready for the next trip. Also the volcano is worth a visit!! Especially during night-time when you can see the lava and hear the rumbling - it's fascinating! You can't leave Ecuador without having spent a few days in lovely Baños!!

Little Paradise

Rating: 100%

Really cute, if quite touristy little town in the world's most beautiful scenery. Also has to be the world's most perfect climate. Tons of adventures. Biking to Puyo was excellent, huge waterfalls everywhere.
