The Quilotoa Loop presents some awesome trips for bicyclists, with gentle inclines and awe-inspiring views around nearly every corner. Most people begin the journey in Latacunga, though you can also enter the region from Lasso or Zumbahua. Biking any good part of the loop takes a comfortable 3-5 days, depending on your speed and length of overnight stays. While the route is easy going in most places, watch out for cobbled stones and steeper hills around the Sigchos area.
A few popular routes that diverge from the typical towns on the loop are:
In the North: Latacunga-Guingopana-Guangaje-Guantualo-Isinliví-Sigchos. From Sigchos you can take a bus back to Latacunga.
To the South: Zumbahua-Angamarca-Shuyo-Moraspungo-Quevado or Salinas.
