Salon Pichincha is a quiet option with simple rooms, a restaurant and friendly owners. Beds are $4 per person with shared bathrooms and hot water. Walk down past the park on Bolivar one and a half blocks past the clothing market, continue on the left to a signed doorway and enter through the restaurant. Come early as rooms tend to fill up fast on Wednesday nights, as they are before market days.
