V!VA User‘s Description

Most of the activities in Tigua are outdoors: local guides can take you on breathtaking hikes with views of the mountains, let you in to visit a local home, or take you to see the workshop of one of the local painters. There is also a co-operatively owned art gallery right next door to Semana Huasi. Besides that, there is the traditional market in the town of Zumbahua (worth a visit, plan on about 45 minutes to an hour) and the volcanic crater at Quilotoa (if you have your own transportation for these trips, you’ll save yourself a lot of hassle!).
