Join us for an high altitude horse back adventure across the ruggedly beautiful Chimborazo highlands known only to herds of wild Llamas and remote communities who live in the mountains far from civilisation.Saddle up on a horse and witness the contrast between the rugged and rocky lunar landscapes of Chimborazo´s mountainous highlands and the lusciously green valleys of Bolivar province. At our journeys end we arrive at Salinas, a picturesque pueblo nestled within the verdant mountains. Its cobbled streets and quaintly colourful houses host an enterprising people whom export their iconic cultural heritage of hand woven clothing and exotic Ecuadorian chocolate all over the world. The intricately knitted sweaters, scarves, blankets, beanies and other clothing consist of only of the highest in quality Alpaca wool that sell for a fraction of the cost than its exported equivalent in Italy and France. Stay another day and explore the Salt Mines and Caves of archeological significance close to this historically rich town.
