The Verde Milenio Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the environment and preserving the cultural heritage of native communities where the traditional ways of life are in danger of dying out. 

Verde Milenio operation is currently based in El Chocó, in the Cotocachi-Cayapas Ecological Reserve. The non-profit works in collaboration with the local Chachi and Afro-Ecuadorian communities to support the development of eco-tourism projects. The projects provide the communities with sustainable development alternatives that are ecologically and culturally sound.

In addition to eco-tourism, Verde Milenio also manages education, health, conservation, small business development and volunteering projects.
