Museo Central Cultural - Museum Ibarra - Ecuador

The excellent Museo Central Cultural consists of a number of rooms containing over 350 Ecuadorian archaeological finds, including prehistoric ceramics, gold artifacts, and masks. There are also two rooms of colonial art, and temporary art exhibitions. Displays are labelled in both Spanish and English, and guides are available at no charge (some guides speak English). There is also a library and bookshop. Monday to Friday 8.30 a.m.-5.30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
