Donde... is a charming little restaurant tucked away in the corner of a quiet plaza, far from tour buses and boisterous backpackers. The obscure façade hides an absolutely irresistible atmosphere and arguably some of the best meat in Ecuador. Finding a place this good, far off the beaten tourist track, is truly a feather in any traveler’s cap. Despite its ostensibly simple appearance, the restaurant serves up outstanding Argentinean-style dishes literally dripping with flavor. Meat -- grilled and served with heaps of spicy sauces and mouth-watering sides -- is the specialty here, and you’re almost guaranteed to leave with a full belly. This is a well-kept Ibarra secret…shhh…don’t tell anyone we told you! The restaurant is open Tuesday-Saturday, 12 p.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
