From the street, this place may seem deserted. Make the short jaunt inwards, down the narrow pathway, past the pleasant garden area, and you’ll find a laid-back, but lively bar atmosphere buzzing with the sound of locals chatting and tossing back a few drinks. Chock full of character, the bar and seating area features an eclectic collection of cowboy-styled art and artifacts, interspersed with the odd antique sewing machine. Walls bear vintage posters signed by various guests, adding local color to the otherwise plain wooden tables and chairs. The low-lit, smoky atmosphere, coupled with 1930s décor and bucolic furnishings, gives the impression that a swaggering, bad-mouthing gaucho might swing through the doors at any moment. Despite a rather rough-around-the-edges, down-home feel, this place appeals as the local romantic rendezvous for couples, who come to share a few drinks on the garden terrace.
