Hacienda Cusin - Hotel Lago San Pablo - Ecuador

Hacienda Cusin, one of the most elegant and prestigious haciendas in the northern highlands, is a complex of beautiful buildings, gardens and patios. Some of the buildings date back to the colonial era, when the owners of Cusin oversaw more than 40,470 hectares (100,000 ac) in the nearby valleys. Hacienda Cusin is now a luxurious favorite and also hosts numerous weddings and special events. Cusin is only about a half hour from Otavalo, and the hacienda tends to fill up on weekends with tourists headed to the market. The establishment offers horseback riding and mountain biking trips, as well as a game room and sports courts. There are a variety of room types, for one to four people, and breakfast is included; there is also the option to pay a special "umbrella" rate which includes all meals and activities.
