As you might expect from such a tourist hot spot, Otavalo hotels and hostels come in all shapes, sizes, and price ranges. The town features many budget and mid-range accommodations: Otavalo hostels charge from around $5 US per night for a dorm bed, up to over $30 US for a private room with your own TV. There are many options in the middle of town which are a great option for those looking to get up early and explore the market.
Several hotels and hostels in Otavalo also offer great views, direct access to nice walks, and can be great places to get out of Quito and chill for a few days.
Haciendas and Spas Around Otavalo
Some of the nicest hotels in Otavalo are a few miles outside of town. These relatively luxurious hotels, spas and haciendas tend to be a bit more expensive (you can pay up to $280 US for pure spa heaven), but there are a couple of options to suit backpackers, too. Haciendas are particularly unique experience, with several exceptional options in the Lago San Pablo, Cotocachi and Laguna Mojanda areas.
