A gem of a hostel, this is a chilled out little place with lots to recommend it, including friendly owners, a helpful travel desk, a café/restaurant that is open all day and a central patio with a huge avocado tree, lots of plants and hammocks. The rooms are small and very basic, and it can get quite noisy if there are a lot of people staying, which there invariably are on weekends. A few of the rooms have private bathrooms but most are shared. It’s convenient both for the bus terminal and for Poncho Plaza. You can rent a mountain bike from here for $7 per day, or $5 for half a day, and the owners can also arrange day trips and activities.
