Located in the small town of Baños, about five minutes from Cuenca (not to be confused with the much larger town of Baños near Ambato), Hostería Durán is a suprisingly large hotel and visitor complex with hot springs, restaurant, conference facilities, game room, water slides and more. It is far and away the best place to stay in the tiny town of Baños and stacks up well against hotels in Cuenca, too. They can take reservations through their web site, which is somewhat difficult to use.
