Chordeleg is a small town outside of Cuenca, often combined with Gualaceo for day trips. It is known for the many jewelry stores that line the streets and main square: there must be at least 20 of them. The jewelry - particularly the silver - is made locally and there is an impressive selection of pendants, bracelets, earrings, etc.
Other than shop, there isn't much to see and do in Chordeleg. Most of the tours take visitors to have lunch at the nearby Uzhupud hosteria.
Buses leave Cuenca regularly for Gualaceo (from the corner of Espana and Benalcazar), where it is easy to catch a second bus to Chordeleg.
