Cuenca's Flower Market is located on Calle Mariscal Sucre, near Padre Aguirre, in front of the southern side of the Cathedral de la Inmaculada (New Cathedral), and wraps around on Padre Aguirre, between Plaza San Francisco and Calle Mariscal Sucre. This colorful market is filled with dozens of stands of women selling a variety of locally grown flowers. The entrance to La Carmen de la Asunción convent is there as well, where nuns sell religious items through a special window. The market is picturesque, but the sellers are a bit short with tourists who snap photos but don’t buy anything, so keep that in mind. Daily 7 a.m.-6 p.m.
