In 2000-2001, the owners of this fine colonial mansion in central Cuenca renovated it into a modern, elegant hotel. The setting is quite pleasant and the rooms are large and comfortable (if a bit formal). There are a total of 14 rooms, each of which is different (and each of which has a different name).

The hotel features an excellent restaurant and attractive courtyard where guests can relax. Definitely not for the backpacker set. If you're the sort of traveler who prefers to stay in "The Mirage Suite" rather than "room #4," this is the place for you. You know who you are. They have an easy-to-use website for making reservations or getting information.
