Traveler Reviews of El Pedregal Azteca

Cuenca's best Mexican food

My friends and I studied abroad in Cuenca and ate at El Pedregal Azteca almost every week. We loved it! The decorations were fun and the food was delicious. We weren't always there during the live music, though that was always a nice addition to the atmosphere.

An expensive treat!

The Pedregal Azteca IS expensive and if you like AUTHENTIC Mexican food (not the Americanized version)you will love this restaurant. I personally have lived in Cuenca on and off for 13 years and although it is expensive, I love the food and I make it a point to eat there about once a month as a TREAT. Great food. If you love Mexican food and have the money you should try it!

The food was dreadful and it was expensive for Cuenca. Service was slow. Nothing good to report!
