This funky German-owned café is a crowd pleaser. Once seated you can choose anything from a good canelazo, international fare, or a game of Jenga or foosball. Wunderbar is a place for both Cuencanos and foreigners to relax. During the day this café is a pleasant place to have lunch (if there is good weather try eating in the garden), while at night the bar comes alive, accompanied by occasional live music Thursday to Saturday.

Better than most place I have found...

Some of the best service I have found in Cuenca! Food was great, was a little pricey for the area.... but all in all, worth it.

Wunderbar Café

This is a really nice place to hang out with friends, to meet other travellers or people from the country. Directly on the side of the historic center.

Nothing good to report!

The food was dreadful and it was expensive for Cuenca. Service was slow.

Fun little place

Wunderbar is located on a staircase. It isn't right downtown, but it's not too far away. They had good happy hour specials and it was just a great place to hang out with friends.
