Located within walking distance of the ancient Inca ruins, Posada Ingapirca is easily your best lodging and restaurant option in the area. The hotel is a surprisingly attractive converted 200 year-old hacienda: it features 20 rooms, elegant social areas and well-kept gardens. There is more to do than just see the ruins: the Posada can arrange hikes along the Inca trail that passes through the area, and there is a billiard room on the premises.
The Posada is an appealing option for someone who wants to see the ruins and who also would like to escape the cities for the quiet, elegant night away. Prices are quite reasonable for a converted hacienda. The Posada is managed by the Grupo Santa Ana, which also manages the Victoria hotel and El Jardin restaurant in Cuenca: information is available at the hotel.
