Municipal Building - Historical Building Loja - Ecuador

Stretching across the whole Avenida Eguiguren side of Plaza de la Independencia and wrapping around the corner down Calle Simón Bolívar, Loja's Municipal Building is a good reference point and offers a wealth of information. The creme building with green accents houses a public library (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Closed Sundays), which includes a braille library, as well as the city's tourism office. Next to the iTur office is a beautiful mural of traditional musical life in Loja, painted by Oswaldo Mora, that is worth visiting.
