Located directly across the street from the impossible-to-miss Entrada de la Ciudad, the Hostal Aguilera Internacional is an airy, bright hotel with small, clean rooms, ample parking, and an array of ammenities that includes a social room (for wedding receptions, etc.), a playground, a conference room and a restaurant. There is even a sauna, steam room and gym.

The prices are low mid-range and represent a very good value: the hotel is a significant step up from similarly priced downtown hotels such as the Central Park Hostal. You can still walk to downtown areas of interest and proximity to Puerta de Loja is a bonus. The view from the rooms is much better than downtown, too: you’ll see the surrounding hills instead of a brick wall.
