Hotel Libertador

The Hotel Libertador is the best of the hotels located in Loja’s historic district. The interior is dimly lit and gloomy, and the whole place has a "seen-better-days" feel to it, but the rooms are nice, the service is very good, and there are a variety of extras that other hotels in the area do not have, such as a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and restaurant. The Libertador also offers free internet for guests, cable TV and parking, which is a bonus in the chaotic Loja city center.

A large hotel, the Libertador has almost 60 rooms and suites. It is difficult to fault its location, less than a block away from Loja’s central park and cathedral. The pool and billiard room make the Libertador family-friendly, but solo, budget and business travelers can find better bargains elsewhere in Loja.
