Caballos Gavilan
Gavin's tours are great. I have gone twice now and recommend him as a guide. He speaks Spanish and English fluently, and his refuge in the moutains is a unique and wonderful place. His horses are trustworthy and do an amazing job taking care of the riders. Some places require walking when the going gets tough, but the walk is generally a welcome break for those of us not riding everyday! His property lies on the edge of Podocarpus Park and is about a 4 hour ride. Gavin provides great walking tours in the surrounding areas. He is very knowledgable in the flora and fauna. he also has great tales to tell of the local legends of Vilcabamba.
