In Ecuador, jobs can be a bit tough to find. There are some opportunities to teach English in Ecuador's larger cities, or you might luck out and find work at a hostel or bar in the more touristy areas. In both cases, it is far easier to find work once you're in the country. To legally work in Ecuador, you will need to find an Ecuadorian company to sponsor your work visa.
If you want to see a different side of Ecuador, volunteer in one of the rural communities, at an urban daycare or out in the wilderness. There are many opportunities for volunteering in Ecuador; some organizations charge a fee (and sometimes a hefty one), while others will let you volunteer for free and even provide housing.
