At the opposite end of the scale, Quito's malls are shiny, slick and expensive. Wealthy Quitenos just love wandering around them in the evenings and at weekends. Many recognizable brand names can be found here, such as Bally, Liz Claiborne, Nine West, Diesel and even a Tower records store in the Quicentro mall. In each mall there are huge food courts where familiar fast food restaurants such as KFC and Taco Bells coexist with chains catering to more traditional tastes. Groceries and other supermarket goods can be picked up in the ubiquitous Supermaxi supermarket chain. There are stores to be found in the El Jardin, CCI, El Bosque and El Recreo malls.
The main malls in Quito are listed here:
Quicentro is possibly Quito´s premier mall. It is located at Av. Naciones Unidas y 6 de Diciembre.
The El Jardin mall can be found at Amazonas y República.
Centro Comercial Inaquito (known as CCI) is at Amazonas y Naciones Unidas
El Bosque, Quito's first mall, built in the 1980s is situated in the north of the city at on the Occidental avenue and Carvajal.
In the south of the city, the El Recreo mall, popular with Quito’s lower-classes, is found on Avenida Maldonado. The trolle stops right outside.
