Grand Hotel

This family-run hotel is popular with backpackers and justly so: the staff bend over backwards to help their guests and offer personal service.

The rooms are all spotlessly clean - although a few are in dire need of a point job - and simply but adequately furnished.

There is a living room downstairs with a TV and big sofas and chairs as well as a kitchen for guests to use.

There are plans for a roof terrace restaurant which will offer great views over the center of Quito and the Panecillo; but that probably won't take place for a couple of years.
