V!VA User‘s Description
Set just off the Plaza Santo Domingo, the Real Audiencia Hotel offers dusty but decent rooms and discounts for Ecuadorians. Transportation can be arranged from the airport for just $3 more than the regular room rate. Make arrangements with the hotel in advance. The highlight is the top-floor restaurant and bar with large windows looking out onto the Plaza Santo Domingo. The hotel makes an effort to work with the city to protect the historic buildings in the area, of which the hotel is one.

I stayed at this hotel two months ago, the rooms were very comfortable and the services were excelent. I will be very glad to recommend this hotel to all my friends.
It is with great pleasure that I highly recommend this hotel. I have stayed here on two occasions and was very much satisfied with not only the very clean and comfortable rooms but the excellent service. One of the highlights of this hotel is the restaurant that offers a panoramic view of Historic Quito, the food and service is great. I will be returning in the future and will make this hotel \"My place\" in Quito. Of importance to me is the urban ecological efforts by the owners. They recycle, have put solar pannels, ionized their water an are also developing a compost program to reduce trash in the area. Come and bring your friends...you will be glad you did!
My wife and I just visited Quito for the second time and the hotel, Real Audiencia, is by far the best value for your money. It's close to all the historic sites of the city. Walking distance to the cathedral, lots of inexpensive shopping nearby, and the service is impeccable. Our first time to Quito was 3 years ago and we also stayed at this hotel. A truly wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Quito, Ecuador. Our favorite part of the hotel is the restaurant, where you can relax, enjoy the view and a delicious meal while you plan your day. The staff was very helpful, Guadalupe made our trip a memorable experience by recommending some of the best sightseeing excursions this fabulous city has to offer. Truly the best.
