Hotel

By Dawn Wohlfarth Arteaga

This hotel is popular with Ecuadorian and foreign visitors alike. Though set in an old, colonial building, the interior is modern and clean.

Rooms are fairly standards and look out onto the central patio. Some, however, are quite dark. All have private bathrooms with new, fully functioning fittings.

The hotel is centrally located and provides a good launching point to seeing the major sights of Quito's historic center. The staff are friendly and willing to answer any queries.

Do not stay here

Rating: 0%

Although the location is convenient I would not recommend this hotel. It is expensive for the quality of rooms. The staff did maintenance in our room while we were out, and left rusty nails all over our floor. In addition, my husband came home late from a day trip which I could not attend due to illness. I was extremely worried and instead of helping me, the staff accused me of having a fight with my husband and claimed that it was my fault he had not returned. This was very upsetting and completely unhelpful.
