L'Auberge Inn Hostal (literally 'Inn Inn Inn' in French, English and Spanish) is located between the Centro Histórico and La Mariscal. Its a bit of an oasis in a fairly dumpy, trafficy area with its tranquil garden, delicious pizza parlor, and comfy lounge complete with games, a pool table and a fireplace. The rooms are basic, but clean. Most look out onto the common garden. The rooms with shared bath also share a threadbare carpet but are fine otherwise.
If you make a reservation for L'Auberge at the information desk when you arrive at the airport, transportation is free to the hotel. Otherwise it is $6.
