Bar Templo has windows that look out onto one of Quito’s most famous plazas and a dark, cozy atmosphere inside. With a wide range in food—from traditional dishes from $1-$1.50 to filet mignon for $5.50—and an extensive mixed drinks selection, you are bound to find something of interest here. Try the blended juices, which come in many creative combinations and are served in a glass so tall you will have to stretch to reach the straw. The service, although the waiters are friendly, leaves some to be desired. The staff is made up of mostly young college students who seem more interested in chatting at the bar than attending customers. Sit back and relax; the view and drink selection make the wait worthwhile.
