Café de Fraile is in the Edificio Arzobispal right in the Plaza de la Independencia (also known as the Plaza Grande), you can't beat the intimate setting in Quito's historic downtown. There is courtyard seating on the second floor balcony. The setting and dress is casual.


The food at Café de Fraile is really nothing more than small, overpriced and not especially tasty appetizers and sandwiches to accompany a cocktail.
