Hasta la Vuelta Señor

Set in the Mediterranean courtyard of Edificio Arzobispal facing the cathedral in the Plaza de la Independencia. The location is ideal and the atmosphere is warm and inviting.

Hasta la Vuelta feaures traditional Quiteño dishes. You can definitely find a slightly less sanitary version of the same fare for a much cheaper price in dozens of cafes in this same area. The atmosphere is what makes this restaurant special.

Good Ecuadorian Food

I went here with my parents a few weeks ago. It is located in a lovely building. The food is not as cheap as some places, but good. Good place for foreigners to go, since cleanliness level seems high.

Captures Old Quito

As a native Ecuadorian now living on the States, I am always craving authentic Ecuadorian food. Problem is, I've grown accustomed to the food safety levels of the US. This place offers both, in addition to a very attractive setting in a colonial house that takes you back to the 1600s.

great comida tipica in a charming setting

Hasta La Vuelta Senor has great typical Ecuadorian cuisine - airy empanadas de viento, outstanding seco de chivo (lamb stew), and for a twist on the traditional hornado (roast), it is made with turkey instead of pork. The restaurant is conveniently located just off the Plaza Grande (Plaza de la Independencia) in the historic center, in the remodeled Archbishops Palace. Head to the courtyard, then take the stairs to the third floor. You will be rewarded with a view of the courtyard to accompany your meal. While it is not a budget restaurant, it is reasonably priced.
