I visited Folklore Olga Fisch store/art gallery and recommend this place. They have beautiful work of ecuadorian artisans and hand made stuff. Their tapestries and rugs are recongnized worlwide.

By taxi, ask for UDLA university, 1 block on the way up to plaza Artigas from UDLA university, in front of Hospital Baca Ortiz.
