Mirador de Guápulo

Mirador de Guápulo specializes in traditional Ecuadorian dishes like fritada (fried pork platter), sanduches de pernil (pulled pork sandwiches), empanadas (turnovers) and much more. Try the Tabla de Guápulo which is a large platter with steak skewers, sausage, and other meat off the grill. It’s more than enough food for two, especially if accompanied with one of their large salads.

Mirador de Guápulo is a small restaurant and bar that has live music Wednesday - Sunday evenings starting around 20:00. As a part of the Sinchi Sacha Foundation, the Mirador de Guápulo highlights traditional Ecuadorian food, culture, music and artifacts along with the museum in the same building. Even if you aren't interested in learning anything new, Mirador de Guápulo is a beautiful spot you shouldn't miss with excellent views and rooftop seating with space heaters.

Traveler Reviews of Mirador de Guápulo

Guapulo

It is a very good place

Delicious hot chocolate

I went there on a Sunday evening, and it was empty. The menu looked good, however I just went for a hot chocolate, which was delicious. It was a cold night outside, and to drink a warm hot chocolate drink whilst overlooking the stunning view of the Guápulo church and the valley area was wonderful.
