Traveler Reviews of La Briciola

Exquisite food

I went here because it was recommended in the Viva Ecuador guide book. The food is awesome. GF had pasta with prawns, mushrooms, cream and parmesan, I had steak in cognac/pepper sauce. It was one of the best meals we had. Pasta is homemade, dipping bread provided free. The restaurant is not cheap though! main meals around $10. But we were given a free dessert and sambucca/amaretto shot. So it was excellent value. The service is excellent, the owner has personality and friendly the food prepared perfectly.
Recommend.

The best of Quito!

If you want high-quality food, great times, great memories, then this is the place, don´t let the robbery story stop you from eating there....

Robbery in Briciola

Great restaurant. BUT the security is questionable. I walked in on a robbery two weeks ago. 3 guys with pistols. They robbed everyone. They owner did not want to call the police. Afraid of bad publicity. Just be careful.

One of a kind

I really enjoyed my lunch at la Briciola. The time I invited my family for dinner, all I can say is that it was an absolutely marvelous experience, the owner sat down with us an shared gracious moments with us...all for my mother's birthday.

Awesome Italian Restaurant

The prices are very affordable, waiters friendly and attentive, the seats cozy, and food excellent! I love their seafood pastas, as well as the lasagna. Everything's great including the complimentary fresh bread and olive oil dip at the beginning of the meal.

I eat here every visit to Quito

Be prepared to sit back and have a completely satisfying meal, you won't be disappointed. The food is on par with the more memorable meals I enjoyed while living in Italy. It is reasonably-priced.
