Quito Pop is a swanky new restaurant in the La Floresta district. As suggested by the name, the walls are adorned with Warhol-esque Pop Art pictures. The decor is very modern and funky - white walls, wooden floors and lots of chrome. The crockery has been designed in a Pop-Art style too, adding colour to the venue. Enjoy an after-dinner coffee or cerveza watching the huge flat-screen TV on the second floor, tuned to a Latin music ballads channel. The restaurant also sometimes has live music.
The restaurant offers decent portions of tasty, contemporary food with both Mediterranean and Ecuadorian influences. The service is excellent, the waiters are very attentive. The food is pricy by Ecuadorian standards, but the atmosphere, surroundings and food itself make it well worth the splurge.
