Established in 1971, Libri Mundi is a popular bookstore chain with a number of stores in and around Quito, and also in Cuenca and Guayaquil. They stock a wide variety of books but for the traveler, the most important thing is that they sell English-language books, including novels. Libri Mundi stocks some of the best quality reads, from art history to mystery and biographies to Ecuadorian literature.
